Mobin Rafiq is the Chairman of the Commonwealth Entrepreneurs Club (CEC) & Global Entrepreneurs Club (GEC) and various other companies of repute – He manages the international network for Impact Investments and social enterprise collaborations are one such step in the right direction to foster trade worldwide.
The CEC and GEC are in the vanguard in aggressively promoting SMEs and thereby building a strong foundation that caters to International Public-Private Partnership (PPP) thereby creating an absolute emphasis to alleviate poverty which is a burning need to give utmost and riveted attention worldwide.
It drives Capital access, Distributors, Innovation, SMEs growth and industry expertise in multiple diverse sectors which include Finance, Trading, Infrastructure, Energy, Cement, Steel, Industrial Parks, Real Estate, Smart Cities, Agriculture, Textile, Logistics, Technology, Healthcare, Tourism, Media, Communication, Fashion Designing, Education, Skill development.
Both CEC and GEC are trying to bring Multi-Nationals and SMEs to work closely together are important for the development and increase of any country’s GDP
EXPERIENCE & EXPOSURE
Mobin brings in a combined 130 years of family engineering background of which he accounts for 46 + years of hands-on professional experience. His multi-dimensional approach as a technocrat, industrialist and Philanthropist has won praise and accolades from far and wide for his substantial achievements. His family had the unique distinction of pioneering and establishing multiple manufacturing units in engineering and textiles in Pakistan.
A widely-travelled person active across 70 + countries and his far-sighted vision and constant interaction with Royal Dynasties, Parliamentarians, Diplomats, Bankers, top-notch industrialists, military generals and established academicians. He is also involved in property developments within the UK where his sons are actively expanding their business with diversification in various directions.
HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
A journey that started from a basic shop floor operation slowly graduated into building technology-led businesses with an emphasis on specializing in low-cost design, special purpose machines, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing transfer lines. He was instrumental in establishing the first indigenous SME manufacturing facility which is spread across 300000 sq ft area to produce camshafts, engine valves and gaskets and had a whopping 35 % share in the manufacture of tractor components for the “Fiat” assembly lines (Parent company of Iconic brand “Ferrari“) in Pakistan. It is a matter of pride to state that he was also the pioneer in developing and manufacturing the first-ever Rapier Shuttle less looms in Pakistan.
SPEAKING AND WRITTEN ASSIGNMENTS
Mobin has published several reports on self-sustaining micro cities, Industrial parks and low-cost housing as vehicles and growth enablers for trade, entrepreneurship and job creation in marginalized communities which are severely affected by poverty. He is regularly invited as a speaker to share insights on social development.
Mobin has an inherent passion for how to lend a helping hand to the downtrodden and the poverty-stricken. His undeterred approach to alleviating poverty has won many accolades worldwide.
As a business leader with an unflinching dedication to the cause, he understands that accomplishments result from getting people to put their heads together and working in unison as a team.
His dedication towards the SME community worldwide is thereby noteworthy and has a special emphasis on developing Asian and African countries in job creation and trade strategy accentuating the underly need towards the major principal objective “To alleviate poverty “.
He is also known as Mr SME due to his long conviction and passion for promoting SMEs.
VISION FOR THE FUTURE
Mobin Rafiq now looks forward to initiating global sustainable projects aimed at inclusivity and empowering marginalized communities with skills to enable them through the power of SMEs to create jobs and end poverty. He wants to realize these goals by leading and promoting the Commonwealth Entrepreneurial Club and Global Entrepreneurs Club connecting global highly successful entrepreneurs to open new markets, facilitate trade, enhance regional connectivity and exclusively invest in setting up industrial parks, smart cities, and low-cost housing and vocational skills centres. He wishes to develop human capital aimed at poverty alleviation on mutually rewarding, business-friendly and commercially viable projects.
HOBBIES AND OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Mobin is an avid golfer with an inherent passion for travelling and is blessed with his loving wife and his three sons and a daughter
He is also proud to state that he has documented his visionary ideas and hands-on strategies into a very interesting read called “ENTREPRENEURSHIP THROUGH SKILL DEVELOPMENT and SMEs“ which is going to be his Magnum Opus.
